Then you have come to the right place at CSS. For our Agile Release Train (ART) Data & Analytics, we are looking for an Expert Data Engineer (f/m). Together with your team, you will further develop our modern data platform on Databricks and create the foundation for data-driven solutions throughout the entire company. In this role, you will decisively shape our technical direction and contribute your experience in data modeling, architecture, and engineering. This is what your everyday life looks like ## • The core: You take technical responsibility for the further development of our modern data platform. Together with your team, you develop and operate data products based on Databricks and ensure a sustainable, scalable, and future-proof data architecture. • You actively shape our data modeling and contribute your know-how in the areas of Data Vault, Data Engineering, and modern Lakehouse architectures. • You work closely with Product Owners, Team Coaches, System Architects, Tech Leads, as well as your team, and ensure that architecture, implementation, and technological direction are optimally coordinated. • Together with the team, you ensure that our data products are not only functional but also operated reliably, securely, and economically. This includes automated tests, monitoring, data quality mechanisms, CI/CD, as well as performance and cost optimization on Databricks. • As a coach, you support your team colleagues with technical questions and promote knowledge exchange What you bring with you ## • You have at least 7 years of experience in the field of Data Engineering and have deep practical knowledge in modern data platforms such as Databricks as well as in data modeling concepts - especially Data Vault. • You bring sound practical experience with dbt Core in connection with Databricks as well as in the development and operation of scalable data solutions in the Azure environment. You move confidently in topics such as SQL, Python, Data Engineering, and Lakehouse architectures. • Ideally, you have gained your experience in different companies or projects and bring best practices as well as new impulses for our data platform. • You set technical guardrails, conduct architecture and code reviews, and support the team in implementing robust, maintainable, and testable data products. • Complex issues motivate you. You analyze connections in a structured manner, develop sustainable solutions, and convince with your architectural way of thinking and a high standard of quality. • Even in demanding situations, you maintain an overview, represent technical decisions based on sound arguments, and work in partnership with Product Owners, System Architects, and Tech Leads
