To support this mission, Syngenta's Hiring Team is looking for an Onsite Shift Team Leader in Münchwilen, Switzerland. Business Impact: • Leads shift team and bears overall responsibility for safe & timely production. Avoids operational interruptions by recognizing and eliminating conflicts early. Responsible for training apprentices and integrating new employees. Contributes to the strategic orientation of the operation. Purpose: • Leads a shift team (4-6 employees) and is responsible for safe & timely production. Ensures the optimal deployment of available employees. • Responsible for training apprentices. Responsible for integrating and training MA from other plants. • Manufactures chemical intermediates and active substances according to pilot regulations with precise documentation of observations and processes. Carries out sales controls. Accountabilities: • Ensures compliance with Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) regulations and risk analyses; demonstrates exemplary safety awareness and reports events, technical malfunctions, and unsafe actions immediately and resolves them proactively. • Ensures that all safety- and process-relevant information is available for shift handover and is passed on. • Drives continuous improvement by suggesting, checking, and implementing corrective and preventive measures as well as HSE action plans based on independently conducted HSE mini-audits. Creates new guidelines, documentation, and checklists. • Supports shift employees in process care including PRA and definition of technical measures with their expertise. Ensures that assembled production systems comply with applicable regulations and guidelines. • Participates in complex investment projects (CAPEX) and fully represents operational interests. • Develops and defines annual goals for the shift in agreement with operational priorities and career development goals, conducts MA discussions, performance and MA evaluations. • Coaching & Mentoring of Operator, Deputy Shift Leader, and new employees. Qualifications ## • Leadership of oneself (intrinsic motivation) and others. Works independently and efficiently. Uses and reports proactively free shift capacities. • Local stakeholder management (operational employees, campaign managers, PRA managers, workshop, etc.). • Established internal network (workshop, logistics, HSE, etc.). • 5-10 years of professional experience as Deputy Shift Team Leader or comparable experience. • Excellent technical knowledge of all existing plant and infrastructure facilities in Synthesepiloten CHMU-3146. Specialist for several special apparatus. • Familiar with process control system (PLS) and automation, alarm, and safety concepts as well as Safety Instrumented System (SIS). • Established internal and external network (other plants, partner functions, HQ).
