• 26 August 2026 • 80 - 100% • Indefinite duration • Zug To strengthen our team, we are looking for, by agreement, an Animal breeding project manager 80-100% m/f/d The position is aimed at a dynamic person who grasps new ideas, develops projects, and brings people together. The position offers the possibility to actively contribute to the future development of Swiss cattle breeding and to build a wide network in research and practice. Your tasks • You identify new developments in breeding, research, and data analysis and evaluate their utility for Swiss cattle breeding. • You develop new project ideas with partners and lead them from the first idea to implementation. • You coordinate projects with breeding organizations, research partners, and other actors in the Swiss agricultural sector. • You maintain and expand a national and international network. • You represent Qualitas in working groups, specialist committees, and at events. • You support the development of services and analyses in the field of breeding and genetics. • You participate in the writing of scientific reports, project applications, and specialized publications. What you should bring • University degree in agronomy, animal sciences, or a comparable field • Interest in breeding, agriculture, and innovation • Pleasure in connecting people and organizations • Autonomous, structured, and proactive way of working • Good communication skills and confidence • Very good knowledge of German as well as good knowledge of English • Availability for occasional travel in Switzerland and abroad A plus • Knowledge of Swiss agriculture or breeding • Experience in project management • Experience in the scientific environment • Knowledge in data analysis, statistics, or programming (e.g. R or Python) • Experience with funded projects and research cooperations What we do Qualitas AG Zug develops data and information systems, genetic evaluations, as well as innovative services for Swiss breeding.
