Senior Physician Geriatric Psychiatry

For our Clinic for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy, we are looking for a Senior Physician for the specialized geriatric psychiatry ward, starting 1 October 2026 or by arrangement. The Psychiatriezentrum Breitenau, alongside the Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Service and the Kantonsspital, is one of several locations of the Spitäler Schaffhausen. The Psychiatriezentrum Breitenau in the Breite-Quartier of Schaffhausen consists of the Clinic for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy with its inpatient, day-clinic, and outpatient treatment offerings as well as long-term psychiatry. ### What awaits you • Management of an acute ward with a focus on treatment -geriatric psychiatry- • Guiding a team in performing inpatient and outpatient therapies • Case management of selected outpatient and inpatient patients • Further development of the competency focus -geriatric psychiatry- • Participation in the collegial on-call service of the clinic How you will help us move forward • Completed or advanced training as a specialist in psychiatry and psychotherapy • An existing subspecialty title in geriatric psychiatry and psychotherapy or experience in the psychiatric-psychotherapeutic treatment of elderly patients is advantageous • Joy and talent in leading teams and realizing optimal treatment strategies with patients Family friendliness The Spitäler Schaffhausen as an employer The Spitäler Schaffhausen include the Kantonsspital, the Psychiatric Services, the Radiology and Cardiology Posthof Neuhausen practices, as well as the Neurologie Schaffhausen Zentrum practice.
