The Outpatient Pain Medicine of the University Clinic for Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine, Inselspital, Universitätsspital Bern treats complex acute and chronic pain syndromes in a structured biopsychosocial care concept. A central focus is on evidence-based interventional pain therapy using ultrasound- and fluoroscopy-guided procedures. To further develop our interventional offering, we are looking for a technically qualified Senior Physician: doctor with proven expertise in interventional pain medicine. What awaits you Independent performance of complex interventional pain therapies (US- and BV-supported) Assumption of technical daily responsibility in the outpatient setting and background for inpatient acute pain medicine on weekends Supervision and further training of assistant doctors Structured interdisciplinary case management in the biopsychosocial treatment concept Establishment and management of a specialized consultation clinic according to your expertise as well as active participation in the strategic and conceptual further development of outpatient pain medicine Optional participation in clinical and translational research What you bring with you Specialist physician: doctor for anesthesiology or equivalent, recognized training in Switzerland SSIPM certificate of competence in interventional pain therapy or equivalent proven expertise At least two years of independent activity in interventional pain medicine Very sound experience in fluoroscopy-guided near-spine interventions (e.g., facet joints, periradicular therapies, sympathetic blocks, denervations) Safe application of ultrasound-guided nerve and fascia blocks Experience in the organization of an outpatient clinic or comparable leadership responsibility High structural, clinical and communicative competence Our offer University environment with high interventional expertise and modern infrastructure Clear clinical responsibility structure with room for maneuver Predictable working hours without night or weekend services on-site in the outpatient setting Small, specialized, interprofessional team Promotion of academic development, teaching and scientific projects Prospectively, we offer you a defined area of responsibility Applications from Germany or France are welcome.
