The Office for Food Safety and Veterinary Affairs promotes human and animal health and well-being by controlling compliance with food legislation as a cantonal enforcement authority and enforcing animal laws. The laboratory provides the analytical basis as an important part of the enforcement of food and environmental protection legislation.
