At the Cinedome Abtwil, you can expect 10 cinemas with more than 1'947 seats, including an exclusive First Lounge and a new 4DX cinema with special effects for all senses. In the traditional Scala cinema in the heart of St. Gallen, with six halls and a total of 1'000 seats, you can expect a place full of film history and modern cinema enjoyment. For our team, we are looking for reinforcement and are seeking a motivated, committed, and technically affine person as Teamleader Cinema and Projection 60% (m/w/d) In this role, you can expect a lively environment with a strong focus on experience, event business, and the continuous development of our offers. You will take on responsibility, actively shape the team, bring in your own ideas, and make a significant contribution to continuously developing and raising the guest experience to the next level. You will work in a varied environment with cinema, VR, bar, sports bar, and various event formats – from private events to large B2B events. During the week, as well as on weekends and holidays, you will ensure smooth operations and unforgettable experiences together with your team. We rely on flexible team members who enjoy working in a 7-day operation. Your area of responsibility Supporting the management in planning and developing the location and ensuring the economic use of resources (personnel, goods, time) Central point of contact for film programming and technical event planning, coordination with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring the feasibility, quality, and adherence to event and brand standards Technical leadership and support of employees in projection Onboarding of new employees according to guidelines, technical specifications, and adherence to safety and quality standards Ensuring technical expertise in the team Coaching and development of the team with a focus on service quality and personal responsibility Active participation in day-to-day business and leadership of the team in day-to-day operations Close collaboration with our house technician Care of cinema and house technology (heating, ventilation, air conditioning) in the absence of the house technician Responsibility for projection, image, sound, and light quality in operational operations Responsibility for the economic performance of the schedule and efficient use of personnel resources through analysis and targeted optimization of utilization and timing Your profile Completed training or experience in the field of cinema and event technology (e.g., projection, audio/video technology, heating, ventilation, air conditioning) Experience in a comparable environment (cinema, entertainment, event, or leisure operation) Experience in employee management and the ability to technically guide, develop, and motivate employees Affinity for the entertainment world (cinema, games, VR, etc.) is an advantage Stylish communication (word and writing), very good German language skills; additional languages are an advantage High level of initiative and the ability to motivate and lead teams Positive charisma, polite manners, and high social competence Authentic personality with a role model function Independent, customer-oriented, and quality-conscious work Experience in planning and implementing technical processes in the event environment is an advantage Hands-on mentality and willingness to work operationally Enjoy taking responsibility and actively shaping changes Stress resistance and calmness in demanding situations, as well as a confident appearance in case of technical problems You enjoy working in a team and have fun sharing knowledge and actively developing technical know-how in the team Your next step We look forward to your complete and meaningful application.
