Start of employment: per August 2026 or by arrangement Work location: Krauchthal <<Execution according to measure>> is our motto at the Justizvollzugsanstalt Thorberg. We execute sanctions for 170 men from over 40 nations in closed execution. Our 125 employees are committed daily to the reintegration of offenders into society and thereby make an important contribution to public safety. In eleven workshops, we lead and promote the admitted persons according to work-agogic principles. Our programs in the areas of work, therapy, education, sport, and leisure are consistently aimed at risk reduction and social integration. Due to an internal change, we are looking for a teammate in the security execution of JVA Thorberg. Your tasks <br /> • Within the close framework of security execution (solitary confinement, small group execution), you ensure socio-pedagogical daily structure with the admitted persons, intensive care, and work-agogic orientation in the atelier. • You ensure the maintenance of security and order. • You solve questions and concerns of the admitted persons as directly as possible. • You mediate in conflicts in a de-escalating manner and seek pragmatic solutions. • You work in an interdisciplinary team with other reference persons, social workers, and work masters and exchange information regularly with representatives of other disciplines. • You participate constructively in the further development of security execution decided by the management. • You work in the early or late shift and take on weekend services on a regular basis (no night shifts) as well as on-call service on the weekend. <br /> Your profile <br /> • You are a specialist in judicial execution with a federal certificate of proficiency (eidg. Fachausweis) or a certified nursing specialist (forensic psychiatry) or you have a federal certificate of proficiency (eidg. Fähigkeitszeugnis) and are interested in further training specific to judicial execution and agogics. • Or you have an agogic training or further education (e.g., social pedagogue, work agogue) and are willing to undergo further training in security technology. • You are a very resilient, stable, and independent personality. • You act professionally in the tension between closeness and distance. • You have a high awareness of security and risk. • You remain calm even in hectic situations and know how to assert yourself. • You enjoy working with people from different cultures. • You enjoy working interdisciplinary with other professional groups. • You communicate with stylistic confidence in German, both orally and in writing. In addition, you have good oral French skills.
