SCHOTT | Industrialization and Continuous Improvement Process Engineer (m/f/d)*

About us ## SCHOTT Advanced Optics, with its significant technological competence, is a partner of choice for its customers in the development of custom products and solutions for optical applications, lithography, astronomy, optoelectronics, architecture, human sciences, and research. With a product portfolio of more than 120 optical glasses, materials, and special components, we master the entire value chain: from the development of custom glasses to the very high-quality finished product, as well as metrology. Your Tasks ## • You work with the production teams to achieve improvement objectives allowing for the improvement of quality, productivity, efficiency, and production flows; • You evaluate equipment capabilities and are proactive in proposing solutions to support production teams; • You continuously improve processes and implement new standards by applying Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma techniques; • You deploy the TWI (Training Within Industry) method: writing structured work instructions, training and supporting operators at workstations, standardizing practices, and transferring skills; • You collaborate with other departments in a way that supports specific customer needs (projects, requests,...); • In your capacity as a technical process expert, you carry out, support, and conduct feasibility studies for specific or custom products; • You carry out complete Six Sigma (DMAIC) projects as part of our continuous improvement program (Problem solving); • You manage industrialization projects from R&D transfer to series production, ensuring control of process parameters and product capability. Your Profile ## • Engineering degree in mechanical, physics, or training deemed equivalent. • Proven experience in managing operational industrial projects. • Several years of experience in the design or improvement of production processes. • Lean Six Sigma certification or additional training, an asset. • Natural leadership, ability to unite multidisciplinary teams, and excellent communication skills. • Analytical and synthetic mindset, methodical and structured approach, proactive. • Good command of English (minimum B2 level). • Experience in the glass industry constitutes a real advantage.
