Over 400 prison places serve the execution of investigative, security, deportation, extradition and police custody. In the regional prison in Thun, we are looking for a diploma in nursing HF/FH 40%-60% limited to one year from the start of employment. Your tasks Treatment and care of inmates with somatic or mental illnesses as well as in cocaine, heroin, benzodiazepine and alcohol withdrawal. Systematic medical entry monitoring for new admissions. Ensuring the entire medical administration, including maintaining the in-house electronic patient file for inmates. Coordination and organization of doctor's visits with internists, psychiatrists, psychologists and dentists. Professional implementation of medically prescribed instructions. Requesting medical information and records from other institutions. Assistance in managing the prison pharmacy, taking into account legal framework conditions and instructions from the pharmacist responsible for supervision. Management of medical consumables and ordering, preparing and distributing prescribed medications for inmates. Willingness to take on irregular work shifts and on-call services. (No late shift/no night watch) Your profile You have completed further training as a diploma in nursing HF/FH or have completed a comparable education and have already gained several years of professional experience. You have no problem expressing yourself confidently in German, both verbally and in writing. Good verbal Swiss German skills also make your work easier. English and other foreign language skills are highly desirable and a plus.
