For the Fundamentals and Strategies department, we are looking for reinforcement starting immediately or by arrangement. Tasks You make a decisive contribution to the implementation of the "Urban Space and Mobility 2040" strategy by conceptually bringing the City Council's ambitious vision "Remain livable, become climate-neutral" to the streets. You supervise and are responsible for strategic overall transport issues with a focus on MIV (development of transport and road networks as well as traffic regimes and traffic volumes incl. target images, e.g., Circulation Plan) and work on the implementation of structural planning (focus transport) as well as on topics such as agglomeration programs, parking, and others. You develop and update overall and partial strategies, concepts and guidelines for city-wide implementation of overarching strategies and instruments such as structural planning and specialist planning. You prepare decision-making bases, advise superior bodies and participate in various specialist committees. You process political motions and business matters. Profile University degree as a civil or transport engineer, geographer, spatial planner or equivalent training Project management skills, flexible and independent way of working as well as problem-solving orientation, constructive handling of criticism and integration capability Specialist knowledge and practical experience in the management of complex and interdisciplinary projects in transport and preferably also urban spatial planning at a strategic and conceptual level, preferably in an urban environment and in Switzerland Knowledge of traffic modeling is an advantage Proficient German in speaking and writing, strong team and communication skills as well as enjoyment in negotiating and cooperating with different stakeholder groups We offer The opportunity to help shape the future of the largest city.
