Immediately or by arrangement, we are looking for a: ICT Enterprise Architect with focus on AI & digital innovation (80–100%) Your tasks – our position Definition, further development, and maintenance of the hospital's enterprise architecture in close cooperation with the executive management (CIO) as well as the specialist departments. Derivation of architecture principles, target architectures, and roadmaps from the corporate, digital, and data strategy. Architectural support of integration and API management platforms. Ensuring coherence between business processes, applications, data, technologies, and AI solutions (business, application, data, and technology architecture). Architectural evaluation and support of AI- and data-driven use cases, especially in the clinical, administrative, and operational environment. Participation in the definition of framework conditions for the responsible use of Artificial Intelligence (e.g., architecture standards, governance, integration, data protection) Evaluation and support of digitalization and IT projects regarding architecture compliance, scalability, security, and sustainability. Support in the standardization and rationalization of the application and system landscape, including cloud-based and AI-capable platforms. Close cooperation with ICT Operation, Cyber Security, application managers, as well as external partners in architecture and technology decisions. Definition and maintenance of reference architectures, especially in the Microsoft ecosystem (Azure, M365, AI services, hybrid architectures). Participation in the introduction and further development of governance, decision-making, and documentation processes in architecture management. Active observation of technological trends (e.g., AI, Cloud, interoperability in healthcare) and evaluation of their added value for Spitalzentrum Biel. Your skills – our requirements Several years of professional experience (ideally 5+ years) in the field of ICT architecture, Enterprise Architecture, or Solution Architecture. Sound knowledge of enterprise architecture methods and frameworks (e.g., TOGAF or comparable). Very good knowledge of modern ICT architectures, especially in the Microsoft environment (Azure, M365, hybrid environments). Basic understanding of API-based architectures and API management concepts. Interest in and ideally experience with AI- and data-driven architectures, e.g.: AI services and platforms. Integration of AI functions into existing business and clinical systems. Data, security, and governance aspects of AI solutions. Experience in complex, heterogeneous IT landscapes with high requirements for availability, security, and integration. Strong analytical, structured, and conceptual thinking. Ability to communicate complex issues understandably and to engage different stakeholders. Native German or French with good knowledge of the respective other language. Experience in healthcare or in highly regulated environments is an advantage.
