In the heart of international Geneva, the Centre International de Conférences, Genève (CICG) and the Centre de Conférences de Varembé (CCV) host major events bringing together international organizations, institutions, public partners, and multilateral dialogue actors. Managed by the FIPOI, these venues constitute true platforms for meetings, exchanges, and influence for Geneva.

In order to strengthen our technical team and support the development of our activities, we are looking for:

An Audiovisual Technician – Conferences 100% - CDI

Your mission

Reporting to the Conference Service and integrated into an experienced and committed audiovisual team, you will contribute to the preparation, operation, and reliability of the technical installations of our conference centers.

Your objective: to guarantee, with the entire team, a smooth and high-quality audiovisual experience for our clients, partners, service providers, and visitors.

Beyond technical expertise, we place importance on the way of working together: mutual aid, communication, availability, and good humor are part of daily life, even during periods of high activity.

Your main responsibilities

In this role, you will notably be required to:

• Prepare, configure, and supervise the control rooms, rooms, and audiovisual equipment of the CICG and the CCV (audio systems, video, simultaneous interpretation, audiovisual networks);
• Ensure the monitoring, control, and preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment, and participate in the diagnosis and resolution of technical incidents with the team and the partners concerned;
• Respond to the technical needs of clients, suppliers, service providers, and visitors with reactivity and a sense of service, and occasionally operate the installations during conferences and events, in the control room or in the room;
• Propose improvements and contribute to the evolution of our equipment, working methods, and quality standards; participate in the technical and administrative monitoring of the service.

Your profile

• Training in audio, video, or audiovisual professions, completed by approximately 5 years or more of experience in an audiovisual function, ideally in events, conferences, or a demanding technical environment;
• Solid knowledge in audio, video, lighting, IT, and audiovisual signal processing; ease with office tools; capturing, filming, and post-production: a plus;
• Knowledge of simultaneous interpretation systems (mastery of Televic solutions is an asset) and good knowledge of audiovisual networks, notably DANTE, as well as AV over IP environments. Very good command of French and good command of English, including technical vocabulary;
• Reliable, responsible, and autonomous personality, solution-oriented and service-oriented, with rigor, reactivity, and the ability to manage priorities in demanding situations. True team spirit (mutual aid, communication, constructive attitude), curiosity, and a desire for continuous learning;
• Flexibility and availability to accompany the needs of the activity, including occasional evening, weekend, or certain public holiday hours; knowledge of the international environment: an asset.
