Social Worker / at 80% / on fixed-term contract (8 months)

The social worker intervenes at the homes of IMAD clients and tenants of buildings with supervision for elderly people (hereinafter IEPA), essentially of AVS age and requiring social assistance and/or administrative support. He/she participates in a public service mission aimed at guaranteeing people access to the benefits of the usual social services of the canton.

Your missions and responsibilities

• Identify, upon request from home care teams or IEPA, the nature of the client's or tenant's needs
• Regulate the flow of requests and his/her activity with his/her hierarchy
• Evaluate the social situation and the primary and secondary networks of the client/tenant
• Elaborate a social intervention project within legal-juridical limits in collaboration with the client/tenant
• Carry out the actions arising from the social intervention project
• Document the actions carried out in the file of the concerned client/tenant
• Direct the person and/or their caregivers toward services adapted to their needs
• Participate in colloquiums related to the situations being followed
• Collaborate and coordinate with other professionals of the institution depending on the situation
• Work in collaboration with the socio-sanitary network
• Bachelor in social work HETS or training deemed equivalent
• Excellent knowledge of the Geneva socio-sanitary network
• Ability to work independently as well as in a multidisciplinary team AND mobility in the Canton
• Analytical and negotiation skills
• Very good writing skills
• Very good ability to adapt to varied audiences
• Experience with health issues related to aging desired
• Ease in relating to elderly people
• Administrative rigor and organizational qualities
• Good mastery of standard IT tools.
