You will join the Unité de Psychiatrie de Liaison (UPL) and ensure, within a multidisciplinary team, the assessment, orientation, and psychological and psychotherapeutic follow-up of patients hospitalized in somatic care units or followed outpatient as part of care provided by the neurology, neurosurgery, and neurerehabilitation services under the supervision of a liaison psychiatrist. If you enjoy working in a multidisciplinary team, and you have an interest and/or experience in psychosomatics or liaison psychiatry, join the UPL.

You hold a Master's degree in psychology and are in training or have obtained a MAS in psychotherapy. You have personal clinical experience in the field of psychosomatics or liaison psychiatry, and at least three years of clinical experience.

You have good abilities to work in a team, are able to cope with stress, and you adapt to the diversity of clinical situations. You have a good sense of analysis and synthesis and know how to work autonomously.

You possess the cantonal right of practice or are able to obtain it before your start date.

For non-French speaking candidates, a C1 level of French in spoken and written tests is required.

Thus, the department's mission is to screen and effectively treat increasingly frequent and polymorphic pathologies while respecting patients and their relatives.

The Service de psychiatrie de liaison et d'intervention de crise is responsible for the assessment, orientation, and follow-up of the interdisciplinary treatment of psychiatric disorders in patients who are hospitalized or followed in the context of outpatient consultations at the various HUG sites. The service also has the mandate to welcome, provide care for, and orient patients approaching the HUG emergency services. The Service offers a stimulating and diverse clinical environment at the heart of the hospital, promoting interactions with numerous medical and surgical specialty services. It also offers a quality training framework, with structured internal training including clinical presentations and other interactive pedagogical formats.

The Unité de Psychiatrie de Liaison (UPL) is located at the interface between different medical and surgical specialties on one hand, and psychiatry on the other. It operates under hospital modalities performed at the patient's bedside, and for non-hospitalized patients whose health status requires the organization of outpatient follow-up in a somatic specialty, following or not a hospitalization. Its deployment allows for the management of complex situations associating somatic manifestations or disorders with psychological suffering or manifestations. In all the services covered by liaison psychiatry, the UPL team, composed of psychiatrists and psychologists, deploys to meet rich and varied clinical needs, always at the request of the physician in charge of the patient. Generally, the discipline of liaison psychiatry contributes, within the general hospital, to the development of a global and integrative approach to the patient, transcending the body-mind duality. The targeted psychological interventions are based on this integrative vision and are part of the multidisciplinary work around the patient, around clinical, training, and research missions.
