Medical Practice Assistant 80 - 100% # Justizvollzug und Wiedereingliederung (JuWe) is, as part of the Directorate of Justice and Home Affairs of the Canton of Zürich, responsible for the execution of sentences and measures as well as the implementation of various types of detention. For our 1'400 employees from around 40 professions, the successful social reintegration of convicted persons and the prevention of recidivism are of particular importance.  Die Justizvollzugsanstalt Pöschwies (JVA) is one of eight main departments of JuWe. JVA Pöschwies, with 399 places, is the largest closed correctional institution in Switzerland for convicted men. It fulfills a central state task and, according to its legal mandate, accounts for the resocialization of incarcerated persons and the protection of the general public. The Main Department of Medical Services ensures the medical-somatic basic care for incarcerated persons in all correctional institutions of the Canton of Zürich. As a central organizational unit, it guarantees harmonized and high-quality healthcare according to the principle of equivalence and works closely with the Psychiatric-Psychological Service and the JuWe institutions. Your tasks ### • Organization and assistance within the framework of consultation hours • Performance and preparation of diagnostic investigations (ECG, laboratory, lung function, X-ray, etc.) • Taking over general administrative tasks • Assistance with minor surgical procedures • Care of chronically ill patients (e.g., wound care) • Independent work during weekend service (approx. 1x per month) • Performance of systematic admission examinations Your profile ### • Training as Medical Practice Assistant EFZ • Committed personality with high teamwork skills and resilience • Competent and respectful handling of patients and employees • Minimum age 25 years • IT affinity as well as good foreign language skills • Impeccable reputation • Possibility to perform shifts with a work start at 06.00 Our offer ### • Exciting working environment with versatile tasks and interprofessional cooperation • Employment conditions according to cantonal guidelines • We guarantee you careful training in your area of responsibility Your application ### Take the next step in your professional career with us and send us your application via our online tool.
