Job Description ## Our Global Field Engineering team ensures that our customers around the globe receive the best possible technical support and that Syntegon machines run efficiently and to the full satisfaction of customers worldwide. In this position, you will undertake worldwide modernization, service, and troubleshooting assignments. You will support the commissioning of packaging machines and systems both at our plant and at our customers worldwide. • In service assignments and troubleshooting requests, you distinguish yourself through your skill in quickly identifying problems and finding and implementing effective solutions in cooperation with our technical departments. • You prepare upgrades of packaging machines and implement them directly at the customer site. • For new machine projects, you support test runs and the fine adjustment of the machines up to the final acceptance of our complex systems. • You work closely with internal teams such as the software department, engineering, and helpline. • The training and instruction of customer personnel, both internally and externally, completes this extraordinary and demanding activity. • Your worldwide business trips account for about 70 % of your working time. Qualifications ## • You bring a technical vocational training and a completed degree as an engineer FH or technician TS in the field of mechatronics, electrical engineering, or mechanical engineering. • Good PLC knowledge (ideally Allen Bradley ControlLogix, Beckhoff TwinCat) and practical experience in the field of automation and/or electrical engineering are required. • As a resilient and travel-loving team player, you demonstrate improvisation talent and the courage for unconventional solutions. • Teamwork, communication skills, and a flair for other countries and cultures characterize you. • Good language skills in German and English round off your profile. Further language skills and experience in field service/customer contact are an advantage.
