Social Worker 80% # Justizvollzug und Wiedereingliederung (JuWe) is, as part of the Directorate of Justice and Home Affairs of the Canton of Zürich, responsible for the execution of sentences and measures as well as the implementation of various types of detention. For our 1'400 employees from around 40 professions, the successful social reintegration of convicted persons, the prevention of recidivism, as well as the retention and preparation of the departure of persons without a valid residence permit, are of particular importance.  The Vollzugszentrum Bachtel (VZB) belongs to the Vollzugseinrichtungen des Kantons Zürich (VEZ) - one of seven main departments of the JuWe - and is an institution specialized in the open execution of prison sentences and substitute prison sentences. The VZB provides space for over 90 incarcerated persons. Immediately or by arrangement, we are looking for an experienced, committed, and socially competent personality for our social service. Your area of activity ### • Support and counseling of incarcerated persons regarding personal and matter-related concerns • Resource-oriented support during execution, if necessary including support in the daily structure Integrationsvollzug (IVO) • Activation and promotion of incarcerated persons with special needs in the various structures of the VZB (normal execution and special execution with individual individual settings) • Preparation of relaxation of execution (e.g., leave system) as well as conditional release, execution planning, execution report • Close interdisciplinary cooperation within the framework of transition management with internal and external partners • Support of interns and pre-interns Your profile ### • Completed studies in Social Work as well as professional experience in dealing with clients with mental illnesses and addiction issues • Strong empathy, assertiveness, and teamwork skills • High flexibility and openness to new challenges • Willingness for continuous professional and personal further training to meet the changing requirements of modern corrections • Very good oral and written German skills as well as knowledge of other languages • Confident handling of MS365 • Advantageous if practical training is present • Minimum age 25 as well as an impeccable reputation What awaits you ### • A versatile, demanding, and meaningful activity in an extraordinary and secure working environment • Careful induction as well as a reliable and supportive team • Diverse opportunities for education and further training • A place of work in the beautiful Zürcher Oberland; traveling by your own car is recommended • Terms of employment according to cantonal guidelines How to apply ### Take the next step in your professional career with us and send us your application via our online tool.
