Institut für Kartografie und Geoinformation IKG The Institut für Kartografie und Geoinformation of ETH Zürich is looking for editorial reinforcement in the team of the Atlas der Schweiz. The interactive Atlas der Schweiz (the official Nationalatlas der Schweiz) has established itself worldwide as a top product of cartography. Currently, the generational change from the desktop to the web version is taking place (fifth generation of the digital atlas). For the implementation of the thematic content and support in the further development of the cartographic application, we are looking for a scientific editor. You are co-responsible for the data management and the interactive cartography of the Atlas der Schweiz Web Your work includes the areas of acquisition and preparation of data as well as the visualization of interactive 2D and 3D maps You work in teaching and research Sound knowledge in GIS (QGIS, ArcGIS) A degree in geosciences (spatial engineering, geomatics, geoinformatics, geography or similar) Preferably experience with interactive visualizations (web maps), scripting (Python, JavaScript) and OpenSource tools Team player, accustomed to working independently Ready to actively familiarize yourself with new areas surrounding atlas cartography High degree of co-determination Small, motivated team (project manager, three developers, three editorial staff, one doctoral student) Very well-developed infrastructure Flexible working hours and pleasant working atmosphere National and international contact possibilities Benefits: Further education, Halbtax-Abo, sports facilities and much more We look forward to your online application by 10 July 2026 with the following documents: Cover letter CV Portfolio Most important certificates You can find further information about the project on our website.
