Head of Front Office Energy Trading

This is what you can achieve. • As a member of the energy industry management team, you are responsible for the overall performance of trading and optimized production and consumption portfolios on short- and long-term markets, while complying with compliance regulations. • You continuously develop energy trading further and exploit opportunities from changing markets, advancing digitization, and new regulatory frameworks. • You further develop analytical and quantitative models and methods and ensure reliable production and load forecasts as well as transparent results management. • You work across departments in short- to long-term energy industry projects and ensure the implementation of new production, procurement, and consumption control options in operational operations. • You design strategic partnerships and collaborations with industrial partners to optimize our portfolio. • You lead your team in a collegiate, clear, and results-oriented manner and specifically promote the skills for the energy trading of tomorrow. This is what you bring. • Trust and teamwork are the foundation of your work; cross-process, collegiate collaboration with different personalities and their expertise is an enrichment for you. • You are strongly results-oriented, enthusiastic about new things, question existing processes, and are happy to engage in cross-disciplinary topics. • Several years of experience in managing hydro portfolios in Switzerland; you act skillfully on energy markets (forward, spot, intraday, system services) in the country and in neighboring countries and know the basics of risk management. • A university or college degree with at least business management training and at least five years of professional experience in the energy industry; ideally, you already have leadership experience. • High IT affinity and pronounced analytical skills; you can provide evidence of performance records in the use of quantitative methods, digitization, and tool development. • You have very good German and good French language skills (or vice versa). Good English language skills are also required.
