Senior Mechanical Engineer (M/F)

• 24 August 2026 • 100% • Indefinite duration • Aigle Field of activity: Space Division, Ground Means and Launchers, mechano-welded structures, complex machines What you develop: Within our design office dedicated to Ground Means and Launchers, you will take charge of various mechanical projects, from the definition of needs to the commissioning of equipment. • Design and develop innovative mechanical solutions meeting the needs and specifications of our clients, in close collaboration with the various relevant professions. • Analyze the context and requirements, define architectures, and perform the pre-dimensioning calculations necessary to justify technical choices. • Take charge of detailed design, constructive and regulatory aspects, as well as the preparation of manufacturing files. • Integrate constraints related to manufacturing processes, machining, boilermaking, and welding, seeking the best compromise between performance, robustness, cost, and deadline. • Write technical documentation and ensure follow-up on realization with our partners and suppliers. • Write technical proposals integrated into our commercial offers. • Actively participate in technical reviews and progress meetings, both internally and with our clients. What you bring: • You hold an engineering degree in mechanical, mechatronic, microtechnical, HES/EPF or equivalent (Master's degree). • You have at least 10 years of experience in the mechanical design of machines, industrial equipment and/or mechano-welded structures. • You master the entire development cycle of mechanical equipment, from the analysis of needs to the manufacturing file and follow-up of realization. • You have excellent knowledge of mechanical design, boilermaking, machining, manufacturing techniques, and welding. • You have a systems approach and are comfortable with multidisciplinary technical issues as well as managing interfaces between professions. • You know how to take a high-level view of a problem while being able to enter into technical detail when necessary. • You are able to analyze a complex issue, propose pragmatic solutions, and defend your technical choices. • You are autonomous, proactive, and solution-oriented, with a good sense of priorities and responsibilities. • You perfectly master a 3D design software, ideally CATIA V5. • You master French and English, both spoken and written, and are comfortable exchanging and defending your technical solutions in these two languages. • Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics is an asset. • You are willing to intervene occasionally at our various client sites, in Switzerland and abroad.
