Landscape Gardener, Mason or Road Builder for the Cable Civil Engineering department

This is what you can achieve. • Your main task as a specialist technician in cable civil engineering is to independently plan, install and monitor cable routes and cable shafts, as well as carry out cable pulls for all railway technical cables • You independently carry out repairs on shaft covers and renovation work on cable shafts, as well as troubleshooting on cable infrastructures and ensure their proper functioning. You create the work schedule, report on the work carried out and record working hours and expenses • Furthermore, you operate instructed machines, devices and working tools, carry out corresponding instructions and work as a safety officer to ensure a professional and safe execution of the tasks. • As a specialist technician, you prepare the workplaces and make materials available for the assigned work or construction sites, where you also ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. • You take on the technical leadership of employees and third parties at the various workplaces. • The function can also include night and weekend work as well as special deployments in the event of disruptions and winter service. This is what you bring. • Your high sense of responsibility and safety awareness enable you to integrate well and thoroughly into your new role in the SBB environment. You are happy to work outdoors in all weather conditions. • Increased resilience, both physical and mental. • A certificate of competence (EFZ) as a landscape gardener or mason/road builder is a requirement. Additionally, you are willing to attend the foreman's school. • In order to exercise the function, we require that the internal training as a safety officer (if necessary safety guard) is successfully completed. Night shifts or individual weekend shifts (not regular), troubleshooting and winter service are remunerated separately with allowances in the form of time and money.  • Your place of residence is near your workplace. • You hold a category B driver's license (with experience in manual transmission and cat. BE being an advantage). Your language skills in German are at least at the A2 level.
