The Département de médecine communautaire et de premier recours (DMCPR) has the societal mission of enabling access to quality care for all through community medicine, ensuring the management of minor medical and surgical emergencies, promoting prevention among citizens, providing medical knowledge for judicial investigations, and promoting the health of travelers.

Due to the versatility of its skills, the Centre universitaire romand de médecine légale (CURML) has the mission to respond to all requests for expertise or advisory assistance in the field of medico-legal matters, medical law, and doping analysis. Located at the Lake Geneva level, its field of competence extends at regional, national, and international levels.

Job Description ##

You coordinate and develop post-mortem and clinical medico-legal diagnostic activities (CT scanner, MRI, RX). You also ensure a good interface with other units and sectors of the CURML as well as with medical radiology technicians. You also perform expertises on mandate from the Public Prosecutor's Office. You participate in hearings as an expert before the Public Prosecutor's Office and/or the Court. You are also capable of illustrating radiological reports with PowerPoint media. You also actively participate in research activity within the CURML.

Qualifications ##

You hold a federal medical degree or have training deemed equivalent and have obtained an FMH title in radiology. If your degree and/or your specialization comes from a foreign country, you have obtained recognition from the Commission des professions médicales of the Office fédéral de la santé publique (MEBEKO).

You have a Geneva cantonal right of practice.

For non-French speaking applications, a C1 level of French in spoken and written tests is required.

Possessing excellent communication skills in a multidisciplinary team and with patients, you are a dynamic, flexible, and committed person. Furthermore, you have demonstrated strong adaptability.

Depending on your profile and experience, an engagement as an associate physician may also be considered.
