Assistant Physician / Assistant Physician Internal Medicine

For the Clinic for Internal Medicine of the Kantonsspital, we are looking for an assistant physician starting from late 2028 / early 2029. We are a category A training clinic for General Internal Medicine. Annually, 3,500 inpatient patients are cared for on the general internal medicine inpatient wards and an equal number of outpatient emergencies on the interdisciplinary emergency station. The medical team includes 13 Senior Physicians, 5 Attending Physicians and 21 Assistant Physicians. Our specialist focuses are General Internal Medicine, acute geriatrics, cardiology, oncology, neurology, nephrology, gastroenterology, angiology, pneumology, hematology, endocrinology, dermatology (consultative) and emergency medicine. Areas of application for our assistant physicians are the general internal medicine inpatient wards, acute geriatrics, the emergency station and cardiopulmonary functional diagnostics as well as the intensive care unit and the dialysis ward. ### What awaits you • Rotation on the inpatient wards of the Clinic for Internal Medicine • Assignment in acute geriatrics • Assignment on the interdisciplinary emergency station • Rotation in cardiopulmonary diagnostics • Assignment to the interdisciplinary intensive care unit (subject to appropriate suitability and wish) • Assignment to dialysis How you will help us move forward • Very good German skills in speaking and writing (minimum requirement level C1) • Professional as well as social competence in dealing with patients and relatives • Commitment and enthusiasm in a clinically interdisciplinary oriented activity • Sense of responsibility, initiative, teamwork, resilience and independence • Federal medical diploma or equivalent MEBEKO recognition Please attach work certificates and diplomas and indicate the period in which you are available in the cover letter.
