Linux System Engineer (a) 80-100% Linux System Engineer (a) 80-100% YOUR TASKS Operation, maintenance and further development of our Linux server landscape (Red Hat Enterprise Linux, SUSE Linux Enterprise Server) as well as the Kubernetes platform based on SUSE Rancher (RKE2) Automation of server and platform operations using Infrastructure as Code (Ansible: Playbooks, Roles, Collections) and operation of the central automation platform AWX Setup, operation and monitoring of CI/CD pipelines on our central Git platform Forgejo incl. technical support for application and developer teams Ensuring uninterrupted and stable operation incl. monitoring, 2nd-level support as well as automated updates, upgrades and release changes within the maintenance windows Participation in security measures (OS hardening, vulnerability remediation) as well as co-supervision of privileged accounts, certificates and secrets of the data platforms Participation in the on-call service to ensure platform operation outside of regular working hours (7x24) YOUR PROFILE Sound technical basic training (technical college/FH/Uni/ETH) or equivalent professional experience Advanced knowledge in the operation of Linux servers and Kubernetes in critical 7x24 environments Sound experience with Ansible as well as DevOps and automation practices (Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD) Knowledge in Platform Security, networks (Load Balancing, DNS, Firewalls) and distributed/highly available systems is an advantage ITIL certification as well as technical certifications (Cloud, Open Source) is an advantage Independent, reliable and solution-oriented way of working with high initiative, sense of responsibility and service orientation Willingness to work at irregular times and on weekends (on-call service) German business fluent (C2), good English skills (B2); French skills (B1) are an advantage Are you ready to take off in an innovative environment?
