The Brain and Mental Health Consultation is the result of a close collaboration between the departments of psychiatry and clinical neurosciences of the HUG, which was established at the Campus Biotech in Geneva (CBT) on November 1st, 2024. Its objective is to offer complementary care to that offered at the HUG to neurological patients (patients suffering from traumatic brain injury) and psychiatric patients (psychosis spectrum disorders), in order to better define the diagnosis and develop new treatment strategies. Patients have access to specialized clinical follow-ups thanks to a dedicated and multidisciplinary team, composed notably of neuropsychologists, neurosurgeons, and psychiatrists, without having to return to a hospital setting. Complete clinical care pathways, said to be end-to-end (from initial management to return home or to adapted structures), are established by the respective neurology, psychiatry, and neurosurgery teams of the HUG in collaboration with the NeuroCentre, around various neuronal pathologies. The brain and mental health consultation is part of the development of the patient pathway and aims to create an efficient synergy between HUG clinical skills and the research platform of Campus Biotech, in order to inspire treatments with new innovative tools stemming from research. Indeed, at Campus Biotech, several teams are available to offer participation in translational research projects, in order to advance the understanding of cognitive and motivational disorders, and pave the way for new adapted treatment strategies. An additional asset is the creation of clinical registries to better document and understand the targeted pathologies as well as the applied treatments, with standardized and anonymized quality data. Chief Resident with specialty title -- 50% As a chief resident physician, you are responsible for the management of outpatient follow-up for brain-injured patients, especially with traumatic brain injury (TBI), in close collaboration with the teams already involved within the Brain and Mental Health Consultation of Campus Biotech. You participate actively in the undergraduate and postgraduate training programs of the service. You will have access to structured and funded clinical research programs, as well as the possibility to collaborate with experts on new neuromodulation methods. You perform on-call duties as a senior physician. The position allows for flexibility in the planning of working hours. Qualifications You hold a federal medical degree or recognized equivalent. You possess a specialization in neurology or in physical medicine and rehabilitation. You hold experience in neurological/neurosurgical rehabilitation. Ideally, you have the right to practice in the canton of Geneva. You have the capacity to work in a team.
