The Territorial Development Service (SCAT) is seeking a Architect Specializing in Barrier-Free Construction SCAT59 The service's mission is to ensure a coordinated and sustainable development of the territory. Its action aims both to protect the natural bases of life and to create a built environment that is harmonious and favorable to housing, social life, and economic activities. To this end, it establishes the cantonal master plan, verifies the adequacy of communal planning to the rules of development, and coordinates building permit procedures. It advises both public authorities and private actors. Your Missions As part of the processing of building permits and the establishment of detailed planning, you ensure the accessibility of constructions and installations to people living with a physical and/or sensory disability (PVH). In this capacity, you check the conformity of files, in particular to the SIA 500 standard. While participating in construction police activities, you carry out conformity visits to construction sites. You also inform clients and architects about the implementation of universal accessibility standards. In a awareness-raising approach, you organize information sessions to promote the requirements and good practices in terms of accessibility of constructions for the people concerned (PVH). Finally, you provide technical assistance to municipalities as well as to state services in charge of housing, health, and adult accompaniment and housing. Your Profile Holder of a bachelor's or master's degree in architecture, or a title in a field deemed equivalent, you have more than 5 years of experience in the realization of works. You have proven skills in the field of housing and barrier-free construction and are familiar with the building permit processing procedure. Able to work both autonomously and in a team, you have a strong sense of human relations and institutional communication. Finally, you are aware of the issues related to health and disability and understand the main problems.
