Deputy to the Director of the Master's in Museum Studies at 50% The University of Neuchâtel is offering a position as Deputy to the Director of the Master's in Museum Studies at 50% to be filled within the Institute of Art History and Museology (IHAM). IHAM is a leader in the field of museum studies teaching. Its Master's in Museum Studies, which offers high-quality international teaching, welcomes many foreign students. It has received the ICOM label for certified training in the field of museum studies. From the 2026 academic year, IHAM will offer a second course in partnership with the École du Louvre in Paris: the International Master's in Museum Studies. Activities As Deputy to the Director of the Master's in Museum Studies, you will be responsible for managing the program's partnerships. You will notably ensure the follow-up of the partnership with the École du Louvre and with museums, as well as the drafting of conventions related to museum projects. You will also assume various administrative tasks related to the functioning of the Master's, including the management of the admission procedure, the coordination of student mobility, support for the work of the Scientific Committee, and the updating and archiving of student files. As part of student follow-up, you will be required to advise them and establish pedagogical contracts for complementary studies. You will organize trips related to the École du Louvre's museography seminars, ensure the management of internships, and provide necessary information regarding procedures and registrations. Finally, you will participate in the organization of the academic year, in particular in the preparation of the inaugural day. This activity includes drafting the program, welcoming guests, transmitting information to students, and presenting the overall functioning of the Master's. Desired profile You have a degree in human sciences or museum studies, ideally complemented by professional experience in a museum. At ease in communication and text writing in French, you have excellent organizational skills and know how to manage priorities efficiently. You work autonomously and demonstrate diplomacy in your relationships with different partners. Knowledge of German is an asset.
