These encompass all areas of physics, from the fundamental principles of nature to innovative technologies for society. A large part of the approximately 1,500 Bachelor, Master and PhD students, postdocs and professors, apprentices as well as scientific and service staff are involved in experimental research in one way or another. The Technical Operations have the optimal support of the research and teaching tasks of the department as their top goal. We are the mechanical central workshop. In our modern and versatile machine park, we manufacture demanding components and assemblies for research projects and scientific development at ETH. As a result of a retirement, we are looking for a motivated employee 80-100% for the D-PHYS central workshop starting 1 September 2026 or by arrangement.
