Head of Accounting & Finance

In an internationally active industrial company, you will take on technical responsibility, lead a small accounting team in Switzerland and Poland, and together with IT, further develop modern, digital financial processes. For the further development of the finance department, we are looking for a technically proficient and pragmatic personality who combines strategic thinking with operational involvement and enjoys taking on responsibility. What the company offers • A long-term oriented key position with a lot of creative freedom • A flexibly selectable workload between 60 and 100 percent • Home office by arrangement • A varied combination of leadership, operational accounting, and project work • Careful induction by the long-standing Finance Manager • Direct and short decision-making paths • Close cooperation with the company management • The possibility to actively drive digitalization and AI-supported financial processes • Support and promotion for professional further training • An in-house canteen with heavily discounted meals • A fitness room directly at the location • A down-to-earth and professional SME environment with an international orientation Our client requests • Further training in finance and accounting, for example with a federal diploma (Fachausweis), or a comparable qualification • Several years of practical experience in finance and accounting • Proven experience in the independent preparation of monthly and annual financial statements • A sound understanding of balance sheets, income statements, and period-appropriate accruals • Enjoyment of an operational role and of rolling up your sleeves in daily business • A pragmatic and solution-oriented SME mentality • Interest in digitalization, process optimization, and modern financial solutions • Proficient German language skills • Good English skills for professional exchange with the team in Poland • Leadership competence as well as enjoyment in professionally developing employees • An independent, structured, and reliable way of working What awaits you • You provide technical leadership to one employee in Switzerland as well as four employees in the accounting team in Poland • You ensure good cooperation and clear processes between Switzerland and Poland • You work in international exchange in German and English • You take responsibility for the monthly and annual financial statements of the group companies in Switzerland and Germany • You develop step-by-step towards the consolidation of the group companies • You handle questions regarding VAT, customs, and cross-border business transactions between Switzerland and Germany • In addition to your leadership function, you are also operationally active in finance and accounting • You support cross-cutting issues and projects within the finance department • You analyze existing processes and further develop contemporary financial processes • Together with IT, you drive digitalization and automation forward • You design, among other things, modern and AI-supported processes such as the accounts payable workflow • You actively contribute your ideas and can help shape the finance department in the long term Ready for a responsible finance function with real creative freedom?
