EISO Nurse (Equipe Interprofessionnelle Spécialisée en Oncologie) / at 80% / permanent contract

Job description

In collaboration with the Oncology Department of the HUG and with a view to improving outpatient and home care for cancer patients, IMAD is creating a pilot project to develop a home care system, specialized in adult oncology, based on a joint IMAD-HUG clinical pathway to improve continuity of care and home care for people suffering from cancer, undergoing treatment at the HUG. The established team will carry out a very broad and complex activity acting in the clinical as well as the social, psychic, and environmental dimensions of the client. The EISO team will also have the mission to weave close links with the specific Genevan oncology network (for example: the Oncology Department of the HUG, the Ligue contre le cancer, OTIUM).

Your missions and responsibilities

• Respond effectively to the specific care requirements of the EISO team by autonomously and upon medical delegation providing technically complex nursing care at the homes of adult clients suffering from an oncological pathology, which is usually provided in a hospital setting
• Provide complete personalized care to adult clients suffering from an oncological pathology within a global vision taking into account, in particular, their direct and social environment, and their psychic constraints. Assess any need such as dietetics or occupational therapy
• Exercise a role as a situational reference and act in accordance with the principles of the nursing code of ethics
• Participate in the institutional mission aimed at promoting staying at home in a stimulating framework for our clients by developing interprofessional and interrelational relations with the different teams integrated into the project
• Develop links and interactions with the actors of the specific Genevan oncology network (for example: the Oncology Department of the HUG, the Ligue contre le cancer, OTIUM).

Qualifications

• Bachelor in nursing
• CAS in oncology with proven appetite for the field
• Minimum two years of professional experience in home care
• Dexterity in technical care
• Capacity for adaptation, flexibility, and reactivity
• Great interpersonal ease, ability to manage stress, and sense of responsibility
• Knowledge of the Genevan network specific to oncology would be an asset
• Ability to work autonomously as well as in an interdisciplinary and interprofessional team
• Mobility indispensable (bicycle / car).
