It is the national professional, economic and employers' organization for companies in building and civil engineering as well as related branches of the main construction sector. In collaboration with its sections, associations and professional groups, the SSE defends the inter-company interests of its members towards the state, the economy and the public. It is particularly committed in the areas of employers' policy, economic policy and vocational training policy. As part of a succession, we are looking for an experienced, entrepreneurial and convincing leadership personality to occupy the position of Head of Business Management Domain (member of the management board) As a member of the management board, you contribute fully to the strategic and economic development of the SSE and assume co-responsibility in the management and development of the entire organization. At the head of a team of about fifteen employees, you lead the Business Management domain and assume responsibility for its human, organizational and economic development. You evolve its products and services consistently in accordance with the needs of member companies and the challenges of the branch, while contributing to the development of the resulting revenues. Independent of any particular corporate interest, you represent the common interests of the members with conviction towards sections, associations, authorities, the political world, social partners, clients and planners. You bring together divergent interests, develop viable solutions and position the SSE as a strong and recognized voice of the branch. Finally, you shape and advance the major evolutions of the sector, particularly in the field of norms and standards, public procurement as well as digitalization and the transformation of construction processes. To succeed in this demanding function, you justify a solid operational experience within a company of the main construction sector and several years of management at a management board level, domain manager level or a comparable level. You master the value chain of the main construction sector, from calculation and acquisition to the realization of projects. You have higher education in the construction field, ideally supplemented by training in business management or management. Combining strategic vision and entrepreneurial spirit, you are endowed with a strong sense of negotiation and translate orientations into concrete results. Your communication qualities allow you to evolve with ease in the interaction between companies, associations, the political world and other stakeholders. You understand political and associative mechanisms and know how to act effectively in complex structures. Perfectly comfortable in French, you have very good knowledge of German and know the economic and cultural realities of French-speaking Switzerland as well as German-speaking Switzerland. You know how to bring their sensitivities closer together. Italian is an asset. You share your activity between Zurich and Lausanne, with a substantial and regular presence in both locations.
