To strengthen the User Experience Team at the Swiss Institute for Information Science (SII), we are looking for a Scientific Project Staff Member in the area of User Experience Design (UX) (40 - 100%) In this function, you will work on innovative research, development, and service projects. Together with interdisciplinary teams, you will develop user-centered solutions at the interface of humans, design, and technology. You will plan and conduct user research studies, usability tests, and UX evaluations, analyze user needs, and derive requirements for digital products and services from them. Based on this, you will develop wireframes, prototypes, and interaction and design concepts. In teaching, you will accompany students in project and bachelor's theses and support the further development of courses in the area of User Experience Design. Your profile University degree (Bachelor or Master) in Human-Computer Interaction, User Experience Design, Psychology, Information Design, Design, Computer Science, Information Science, or a comparable field Experience in user research, usability engineering, or UX evaluation Knowledge of user-centered design and design and prototyping of digital products Ideally, experience with accessibility, AI-based methods, and tools (e.g., Figma Make) along the user-centered design process (e.g., for research, ideation, prototyping, or evaluation) Enjoyment of scientific work and collaboration with companies and research partners Communicative personality with organizational skills We inspire you with a motivated and interdisciplinary team within an innovative work environment with modern UX methods and technologies varied research and service projects with renowned practice partners the opportunity to further develop your own research interests and publish scientifically three weeks of time credit per year for personal further education and the possibility to complete a master's or doctoral degree while working modern employment conditions and many sports and cultural offers The position is limited to three years with an option for extension.
