Head of Section Guideline Planning

This is your contribution • Lead and promote a team of nine employees and jointly develop the Guideline Planning section, define work programs and resource allocation, and manage priorities • Jointly with the team, be responsible for the preliminary examination and examination of the cantons' guideline plans and ensure quality and deadlines • Shape cooperation with cantons and involved federal offices and develop viable solutions in the event of differing interests • Further develop procedures and specifications for guideline planning as well as the corresponding legal bases if required • Coordinate the section's cooperation within the ARE and introduce its concerns • Represent the ARE in working groups and parliamentary commissions as well as organize conferences and presentations What makes you unique • University degree with further training in spatial planning or an equivalent qualification as well as several years of professional experience in spatial planning • Leadership experience and enjoyment in taking responsibility together with the team, creating orientation, and promoting self-responsibility and development • Ability to bring different personalities together and shape a culture of cooperation and trust • Understanding of political contexts, confident appearance and negotiation skills as well as the ability to absorb different interests and develop viable solutions • Networked and strategic thinking as well as the ability to structure complex issues, set priorities and make well-founded decisions even under high pressure • Confident written communication skills and enjoyment of cooperation across specialist areas • Good active knowledge of at least a second official language, passive knowledge of a third official language as well as good English skills What we offer • Working for Switzerland We are committed to the success model of Switzerland and work for the welfare of the population. • Lived diversity Thanks to equal opportunity, we develop our competences and bring in different perspectives. • Healthy at the workplace We support and advise our employees in the area of physical and mental health.
