The cantonal social services office fulfills the task of personal social assistance and addiction support on behalf of the municipalities and supports people in accessing economic social assistance. To this end, it operates eight regional social services in the regions of the canton. The regional social service Chur/Plessur/Imboden is responsible for ten municipalities with a catchment area of 67 000 people. Social counseling, addiction support and financial assistance We are looking for the Chur location as of 1 December 2026 or by arrangement for a Social Worker 80-100 % ## Your area of responsibility ### • Solution- and resource-oriented social counseling for individuals and families • Accessing social insurance benefits as well as economic social assistance • Counseling and financial support for persons with protection status S from Ukraine in individual accommodations • Counseling recognized and provisionally admitted refugees and foreigners regarding linguistic, professional and social integration • Cooperation with social authorities and specialized specialist centers • Other versatile, interesting and responsible activities This is what we wish from you ### • Completed training as a Social Worker BSc/FH or a degree in a comparable training • Joy in working with people from different social and/or cultural backgrounds • High counseling competence as well as sound specialist knowledge in social assistance law and in the social insurance sector • Sociable, resilient, team player, good communicative, organizational and administrative skills • Ideally good foreign language skills • Independent and solution-oriented working
