IT System Engineer Infrastructure & Network

Planning, implementation, and operation of virtualized server, network, and security infrastructures. Responsible for the administration of VMware environments, network components, and firewall systems, as well as for the analysis and rectification of technical malfunctions in 2nd and 3rd level support. Carrying out installations, migrations, maintenance, and optimizations to ensure stable, high-performance, and secure IT operations. Knowledge in VMware vSphere, network administration, and firewall management. In the software area, you bring basic knowledge in ASP.NET Core, C#, Angular, or comparable web technologies. Less deep development experience is important, but rather a good technical understanding to analyze customer inquiries, narrow down errors, and pass requirements cleanly to development. Experience with databases (e.g., SQL Server), API interfaces, or web applications is an advantage. Knowledge in Linux or container technologies is welcome, but not mandatory. You are characterized personally by an analytical and structured way of working. You maintain an overview even in complex environments, work independently and service-oriented, and communicate clearly with customers, team members, and developers. Teamwork, initiative, and interest in new technologies round off your profile. You have fluent German and English skills in spoken and written form and are able to move confidently in daily exchange with customers, partners, and in the technical environment in both languages. Qualifications • Sound knowledge in information technology as well as in the application and administration of modern IT systems • Troubleshooting and technical support: Experience in analyzing and resolving technical problems as well as in supporting end users with excellent problem-solving and communication skills • System and network administration: Practical experience with system administration, network monitoring, and management, including security solutions • A completed IT education or a comparable degree is an advantage. Knowledge in the area of virtualization (VMWare) and Microsoft platforms, a structured way of working, as well as teamwork and initiative are valued
