Responsible for Philanthropy and Partnerships (60-80 %)

The research institute for organic farming FiBL is the world's leading research institution in the field of organic agriculture. As a systems research institute, FiBL has stood for interdisciplinary excellence, close practical cooperation and a comprehensive exchange of knowledge along the value chain for over 50 years – in dialogue with civil society and politics. To diversify and long-term strengthen our research and innovation, we are professionally developing our philanthropy and fundraising activities. For this purpose, we are looking for an entrepreneurially minded, strategically savvy personality as Responsible for Philanthropy and Partnerships (60-80 %) starting from 1.8.2026 or by arrangement What we expect • Development and implementation of a fundraising strategy (focus Switzerland) incl. construction of Case for Support, project dossiers and processes • Acquisition and support of funding foundations and major donors – from identification to applications to reporting • Close cooperation with the executive management, research, consultancy and communication for the strategic anchoring of fundraising What you bring • University degree or comparable qualification as well as several years of experience in establishing philanthropic partnerships in Switzerland. Demonstrable success in foundation and/or major donor fundraising and very good knowledge of the Swiss foundation landscape • Strong strategic and conceptual skills as well as excellent communication skills (German and English; French is an advantage). Confident appearance towards funding partners and different stakeholders as well as service-oriented, structured and independent way of working.
