Kanton Schaffhausen, Sozialamt The Sozialamt of the Canton Schaffhausen fulfills overarching tasks in the areas of social assistance, victim support, and advance payments of maintenance. It runs the specialist office for equality, violence prevention, and violence protection and is responsible for the authorization, financing, and supervision of institutions for adults with disabilities as well as for residential child and youth services. Furthermore, the department performs tasks in connection with the accommodation, support, integration promotion, and material assistance of persons from the asylum and refugee sector on behalf of the Confederation.
