SFFN107 Service of Wildlife, Forests and Nature (Forest Engineer of the Val-de-Ruz District at 80% SFFN107 Service of Wildlife, Forests and Nature (SFFN) The SFFN acts in favor of sustainable management of natural areas. It is responsible for the coordinated application of legislation on wildlife, forests and nature, the management of renewable natural resources, population information and support for authorities on topics under its responsibility. Your missions You ensure the management of the district and fully invest in the sustainable management of the forests of Val-de-Ruz. In collaboration with the forest cantonment forest engineers and representatives of the owners, you plan and implement silvicultural work in public forests. You ensure the rigorous application of forest legislation, while integrating other environmental policies and regulations in force. In this context, you also assume tasks of forest police. Finally, you work closely with the cantonal forest engineer, particularly for the treatment of files related to forest conservation. Your profile You hold a degree in forest engineering EPF or HES, or a master's degree in environmental sciences with a specialization in forest and landscape management, or a title deemed equivalent. A first practical experience is an asset for this position. You have skills in financial management and are used to following forest subsidies.
