Die Spitäler Schaffhausen operate an interdisciplinary emergency center at the Kantonsspital. Together with the emergency practice run by general practitioners, we offer comprehensive and high-quality medical care centrally. With approx. 15'000 treated patients in a 24-hour operation (emergency center) as well as an additional approx. 7'500 patients in the emergency practice (18-22 Uhr), over 20'000 patients are medically treated and cared for per year. ### What awaits you • Together with the emergency team, you care for surgical patients in the emergency center (wound care) • Admission examinations/anamnesis collection for elective patients • If required, you provide assistance during various operations • Participation in departmental work such as ward rounds, patient care, as well as medical record entries • Integration into the emergency and on-call service (Pikett) • Free accommodation option in the nearby staff house How you help us move forward • Commitment and enthusiasm in a clinically interdisciplinary oriented activity • Very good German skills in speaking and writing (minimum requirement level C1) • Social competence in dealing with patients and relatives • Swiss or EU citizen • Student of human medicine Family friendliness Die Spitäler Schaffhausen as an employer Die Spitäler Schaffhausen includes the Kantonsspital, the Psychiatrischen Dienste, the Radiologie and Kardiologie Posthof Neuhausen practices, as well as the Praxis Neurologie Schaffhausen Zentrum. With over 1'700 employees, we ensure the expanded basic medical and nursing care of the Schaffhausen region. Annually, we care for approximately 11'000 inpatient and 90'000 outpatient patients. In addition, we are an important training site in the canton.
