As an internal medicine physician, you have begun your training pathway in internal medicine and now wish to orient yourself towards obtaining the title of specialist in infectiology.

In this context, you will join the Service des maladies infectieuses and participate in the activities of the various specialized consultations, notably in general infectious diseases, with immunocompromised persons, with elderly persons, in the field of septic orthopedics and HIV/AIDS, through rotations.

Under the supervision of senior physicians, you will ensure the care of the female and male patients entrusted to you, both in outpatient and inpatient settings, within the entire institution. You will progressively develop your clinical expertise by being confronted with varied and sometimes complex situations, which strengthen your analytical capacities, your clinical judgment, and your ability to adapt quickly to new medical contexts.

Thanks to your sense of organization and your rigor, you will ensure the clinical, diagnostic, and therapeutic activities necessary for the care of female and male patients. You will ensure compliance with internal rules and procedures, with a constant concern for the quality of the medical services provided.

You face the diversity of consultation requests and the complexity of certain clinical situations with composure, discernment, and good stress management. Your intellectual curiosity encourages you to deepen your knowledge and understand the stakes of the situations you face. You also welcome constructive feedback with openness and use it as a lever for progress in achieving your training objectives.

Evolving in a stimulating and demanding university environment, within a multidisciplinary team, you will also participate in the training of trainee physicians. You will collaborate closely with all the medico-care teams of the institution, in a proactive approach centered on the needs of female and male patients. You will ensure the maintenance of clear, respectful, and adapted communication, both with your colleagues and with the persons receiving care and their relatives.

Furthermore, you have the possibility to participate in ongoing research projects within the service.

As part of your training pathway, you will develop your skills in accordance with the training plan and the requirements of the FMH for three years within the service. This offers an environment recognized for the quality of its teaching, a wide range of activities in infectiology, as well as development opportunities favoring the obtaining of the FMH title. You will also benefit from personalized support thanks to coaching sessions, targeted training, and regular supervision provided by senior physicians as well as senior residents and chief residents.

You hold a federal medical diploma or possess a diploma recognized as equivalent by the Commission des professions médicales (MEBEKO). You justify at least three years of experience in general internal medicine or already hold an FMH in general internal medicine. Initial experience in clinical infectiology constitutes an asset. You aim to obtain the FMH specialist title in infectiology and wish to complete all or part of your training within the service.

You have perfect mastery of the French language (C1 level required) and a very good capacity for written and oral expression.

Possessing excellent communication skills in a multidisciplinary team and with patients, you are a dynamic, flexible, and committed person. Moreover, you have demonstrated strong adaptation capacities.

You can work in both day shifts and night and weekend shifts.
