As Head of Purchasing Switzerland, you will take overall responsibility for the strategic and operational further development of the purchasing organization at our headquarters in Sachseln (OW). Together with your team, you will ensure high-performance, future-oriented procurement, optimize processes and supplier relationships, and make a significant contribution to the company's success. In doing so, you will drive efficiency and cost optimizations and ensure the achievement of defined purchasing goals and key figures. The position involves approximately 20% travel and reports functionally to the Head of Group Purchasing and disciplinarily to the Managing Director of the Swiss production company maxon motor ag. Head of Purchasing Switzerland 100% # Your area of responsibility • You lead and develop the local purchasing teams in the disciplines of strategy, projects, as well as operational and indirect purchasing with around 25 employees and live a modern, appreciative, and performance-oriented leadership culture. • You consistently develop the purchasing organization further, promote competence building, and create the foundation for a future-proof and high-performance purchasing function through efficient processes and clear governance structures. • Together with Group Purchasing, you define the local purchasing strategy and implement it in alignment with the corporate strategy. • You strengthen cross-departmental cooperation, resolve bottlenecks, and realize sustainable efficiency and optimization potentials. • You negotiate and are responsible for concluding supplier agreements, contracts, general terms and conditions, non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), as well as codes of conduct. • You define and control the relevant purchasing key figures (KPIs) and use KPI, TCO, and market analyses to drive sustainable improvements and cost optimizations. • You maintain and further develop strategic supplier relationships and ensure professional relationship and escalation management. This job is just right for you if you... • have a higher technical or business administration education with a focus on Supply Chain Management, purchasing, or a comparable field; additional training in the field of business administration is an advantage. • bring sound technical understanding of manufacturing processes as well as mechanical and electronic components. • bring at least five years of leadership experience in a senior purchasing function within an international industrial or production company and enjoy developing high-performance teams. • grasp complex relationships quickly, think analytically, and also convince in a dynamic international environment with flexibility, resilience, and a solution-oriented way of working. • possess strong negotiation skills and a confident sense when dealing with different stakeholders. • bring a digital mindset, use ERP systems confidently, and specifically use the opportunities of digitalization for process optimization. • are stylistically proficient in German and English, both orally and in writing.
